+1 on the apes and chrome lowers. I haven't done anything to mine yet other than a round air cleaner, floorboard inserts, and matching brake pedal/shifter, most of which I had laying around from other bikes. Saving up for a pro pipe, mild cams and a SERT...hard resist breaking the piggy bank for chrome lowers and apes though, they sure look nicer than stock.
my bags are awesome, when they are on the couch next to the windshield, my tools, cell phone, and most of my concerns...
wish my helmet was sitting next to those boat anchors as well.
Richard, the apes have become quite comfortable after all. Glad I didn't rush into changing them out. Always liked the look but now my shoulders are ok with em too. Hey you got to be getting close to delivery day on your black one aren't you?
Mrnone's black one is sharp. After seeing his, I'm changing out all my yellow-lens blinker bs to red and got the switch to light all three rear tailights when I apply the brake too. He's got some really good ideas on fabrication for various applications. The way he mounted his gps and wired some stuff was good. I think between all of us; HD will get some good input for the future.

Any day now, I expect the call. Im going solo like mrnone
has done, I have the seat here waiting to be put on.
Going with the rear red turn signal set up also.
I need to make sure I have the correct part number 69462-06C?

Got any pics?
Round AC cover is what I hope to do also.
Thanks

I'll have to check on that part number tonight for you when i get home. There were two that worked. You mention apes...remember you don't have to change out the top cap on the riser, just grind a 1/8th angle on the bottom outside edge and that will work fine. I bought the wild1 chubby apes so maybe the HD ape (or whatever you end up with) will work without modification of the cap. On the solo seat...I think that seat looks good with bags on but not so good with bags off, but that's just me and you will no doubt do what you like. Most of the time, I'm running bags off and windshield on. I'm going to do some auxiliary electrical connections for add-ons like GPS and IPOD but hopin to hook up with mrnone as he did a really clean application on his and want to copy it. OH, when you change out the back lenses, it also looks real nice by adding the little chrome visors. He did his front lenses in red w/ visors too but if you get pulled over, red on the front blinkers is a ticket in CA. so i'm just going to add the visors and call it good. It sure looks better without that yellow/amber though.
