Talked to Howard today, what a great guy.. I was trying to spend more money and he was like hey let me give you a lot better shock and save you some money..I just cant get over the looks, They are a good looking shock just not a great looking shock... And on a dyna shocks are out there saying bam here I am.
Yes that does look good, and I believe Howard told me I could not do that because of heat. As matter a fact I know he told me that. What you did is exactly what I was wanting to do. He told me we could chrome the coil springs but he said that was it. I am curious now have you seen or had any problems since the chrome was done to springs?

See how good Howard is he took care of me and my confusion, I have not purchased the shocks yet and the service is already great.. So what would the cost be on shocks just like the ones above.. Also I have been calling around my neck of the woods for someone that can chrome these things for me, and since they must be broke down I would much prefer you to have them done and then sent to me.. you can pm or email is billybigbass@pldi.net I know it will be expensive but looks are important
Just browsing. I did not mean the heat is the problem with chrome, as a matter of fact I guess I was answering a different question, my fault. Chrome has nothing to do with heat on a shock. GREENOHAWK69 has a hydraulic spring pre-load adjuster which is one of the spring pre-load methods that will work. We can not chrome a threaded body for obvious reasons. Again, sorry for the misinformation and misunderstanding.

The #1 "look" great... really, but they lack some of the important performance features found on the #3... first and foremost being the externally adjustable rebound dampening that allows you to quickly fine-tune the performance of your shocks.
There are also some pros and cons to the emulsified vs. separated shock design that buyers might want to consider, depending on the demands they place on their suspension.
In short, with the #1 you pay extra for the bling but get less zing...

Yeah the chrome #1 is what I called about and Howard said hey let me give you a better ride cheaper.. What kind of business owner does that? I would say a business owner that wants repeat customers and one who cares about what he is actually selling.. He said the #1 would blow away the stock shocks but the #3-3 would really take it to another level and then you could go to the #6 piggy back and really make it stellar.. I am very impressed and more impressed with how he said after I receive the shocks I call him and he and I install them together and set them up.. I run a business and have since held a company meeting with the service that was handed to me without even purchasing the shocks yet... I need my employees to employ what Howard did on a daily basis and I would be able to afford to buy every Dyna member a set of Ohlins for Christmas, with all the business I would receive.
