Just got done installing them on the Fat Bob. Got the Chrome Baloney cut with the 2" baffles. Huge sound difference. Took it for a spin with my daughter on back so I haven't really opened it up yet. I won't be sneaking up on anyone anymore
I love mine. Got 2" baffles like yours I though they were to loud at frist. Now I want them to be a little louder! Never happy!
Nicest thing about these slip-ons is if you don't get on it they are quiet when you need them to be.
I going to see were I"m at after I add a high flow air cleaner before I change baffles. Word is the changing out the air cleaner also adds to the volume of exhaust sound.
They will get louder after the insulation burns in a bit, maybe 500-1000 miles. They were nice when I first put them on, but after a decent tune (I used the TTS kit), the bike just sounds awesome. I receive many an approving head turn, as the bike just sounds right. On the other hand, the wife can hear me coming a mile away and be ready with chores when I pull in the driveway . I didn't notice any sound difference when I added a more open air filter.
I to like Chicago Ken had the rush slipons at first. After a while it started sounding stock, i guess i was gettin used to them. So i did what i should have done from the get go, that is buy a full system. I wasted 300 for the pipes and 150 on the download.
I just got to keep reminding myself that the bike doesn't sound like a sewing machine anymore.
To make things worst I heard a 120r start up the other day with the Vance & Hines pro-pipe and it may me wet!
