i am looking to buy a new exaust system for my 07 SB. i am a function over fashion type of guy and dont really care about the sound level going up or down, i am only concearned about getting the best performance. all advice is apreciated, i will list my currant setup below.
I went from the Rush 1.75 slip-ons to the Samson 2-1.
Nice boost, the sound is great and actually quieter then the Rush.
Preformance wise there is a difference, my gas milage improved to 47 highway.
Not sure around town.
The Samson is a one piece exhaust but you have to assembled the shields, no biggie.
I had to remove both the stoch exhaust supports as the samson has it's own.
Oh ye, it works with fowards too.
the 3 best exhausts I have seen .. thunderheader by rich products, bassani 2 into 1 (the newest ones for dynas are nice and work great) .. LSR racing 2 into 1 (very expensive but work well).
Bub 2 into 1s in either the lakester or just the basic 7 two into 1 work well too. BTW I really like my Bubs pipes but they are two into two.
Sure... D&D chrome looks very nice.
Sure... Supertrapp is adjustable and can be quiet.
But there's just NOTHING out there that surpasses a Thunderheader for performance, great sound and cool look. But the chrome will only look this good the day you install it:
