Default Head lite adjustment

I know, buy a manual....
Well right now I don't have one.
I did this once, I just dont remember the measurments....
It's 20-25' feet from the wall and the mark on the wall is 36" above the floor.
Will someone verify this for me....

Doing it "by the book" - with bike standing straight up on level ground and 25' away from vertical wall, center of high beam image on wall should be about 2-1/8" lower than the measurement from ground to center of headlamp bulb (see thumbnail).

To adjust the headbeam you could use the info below.

If you run aux or fog lights: switch to lowbeam and bring the aux/fog lights in line with the lowbeam.

Jeez, it must be nice to have a stock light on a stock front end at the stock height. Some of us have to actually go outside at night and point it at the road.

Ok head lite adjusted, well see how it is tonight.
I know I could of done it tonight, butt I didn't want to wait.
And with the fairing, it's a little easyer to know the spechs and get it close.
I did not want to have to take off and replace the fairing anymore than I had to....
Thanks for the info guys....
It was high and to the right.

You know i went by the book once but the silly light keeps shifting on me so every now and then i pull up behind a car at a stop light and tap the ****** down just low enough not to illuminate inside the vehicle ahead and it's all good!

I don't recommend doing this. I hand-pushed my light down without loosening the bolt, and ended up bending the (cheap-*** riveted mount) housing enough that the light now squeaks because it can move. I need to get in there and replace the rivets or somehow stop it from moving while vibrating.

Recommended: Loosen the light before adjusting. Then tighten it back down.

Edit: After posting this, my new osram 85/100 bulb showed up. I down to the garage and installed the bulb. Tapped some shims into the gap so the headlight won't squeak any more.

Tell us how that Osram works out. I suspect an 85/100w bulb would just blow away even my Silverstar Ultra, but it would be nice to hear first hand.
