Default Dyna Switchback Floorboards

Hello all. I'm new to this site. I really appreciate how informative people are on here so I figured I would ask for some help. I'm a new Harley owner. I bought a 2012 switchback. I'm 6'3 210 lbs with a 34in inseam. I've read muliple forums on how people thought the ride seemed "cramped" on the bike. I agree but can't find anyone who has extensions for the footboards?? I would like to move them up around 3 inches. Someone said the tall boy seat would work by putting the rider a few inches back, is this true? Please help with any advice you can give me. Thank you!

Welcome to the FLD world Canton and congrats on your new bike. There's quite a few of us waiting on floor board extensions. Hopefully, sometime soon we will have some. I want to be able to adjust not only up, but out a couple inches too.

Thanks FBsoCal! Ya I'm disappointed in the lack of stuff for the switchback that's available right now. But I'm putting the D&D fat and the stage 1 screamin eagle cleaner with a power commander on it tomorrow... Can't wait.

Sounds like great additions, you will love it. This bike has a unique soul, just trying to figure out what it truly is. I think it's part Canned Heat and part Frank Zappa with a little early rolling stones thrown in.

What is puzzling to me is I'm sure FLD owners have now established somewhat of a profile that shows we are willing to do mods and we aren't afraid to spend some $$ to get what we want. If I was a manufacturer of after market parts, I'd be all over this model. At the very least, I'd let FLD owners know what's coming. They aren't even teasing us with info. The exhaust mfg.'s are the most aggresive, so where are the rest of them? LOL, I don't get it.

I see you are a fireman, right on, I'm in public works myself. Welcome to the forum brother.

Cantonfireman, welcome to H-Dforums and it's good to see another Michigander here. I've heard that they'll be coming out with more Switchback goodies later this month. I think that for a guy your size, a seat that sits you up taller might work but then how much good will that windshield do. So I guess since we still have limited riding days available it's not a real big rush to get those extensions.

Default Another welcome here

Welcome, Canton
I am also interested in floorboard extensions.
I like the floorboards for a while on a ride but I am used to forward controls
I saw an engine bar made by Kury that looked like it had mini footpegs to the front and outside the boards, I don't want a full engine bar.
I was gonna post a new topic about it
Cheers

Default these would work if avail.

Even these would give us more foot position options. Kuryakyn said
they won't work on the fld though. arrrgh

Has anybody tried to prove them wrong ...? How do they attach to the floorboards ...? As I understood, the FLD floorboards were interchangeable with the Touring and Softail floorboards ... no ...?

(Maybe it is the amount of clearance between the fender ...)
