Are the 2010 Street Bob and Superglide front hubs the same size?
I'm trying to put the Superglide hub on my SB but I can't seem to fit the original SB Spacers (they have the same length).
Are there different Bearings ?
The hub is for dual discs like the SB is the # and letters I can see on it are 17306, HD, H47, 1 and 216N
Are you comparing cast to spoke wheels? Regardless, the wheels spacers are the same for both and both sides are the same part as are the axles, I know they fit very close and it could be assembly order that is the problem - do you have a manual?
I had 19" (original Street bob 2010) spoked and am trying to put in a 16" spoked.
just bought the hub of ebay and tried to fit it in before getting it powder coated.
The hub looks the same as the Street Bob hub the axle fits fine just don't have enough space for the spacer on the brake side.
Have a service manual
Sounds like you may have a wide glide width hub, while the stock one is a close tolerance, if its way off (20mm or so) then you probably have the wrong hub. Maybe you can re lace the rim to your SB hub.
I don't mean off a Wide Glide but there are a number of others that use that hug width - I measured my old FXDC and while not a precise figure, mine measures 5" or 128mm bearing to bearing.
So I just got a Mail from the guy that sold me the hub. It's definetly a 2010 Superglide hub.
I'm wondering if there are slimmer bearings installed in the 2010 Street Bob hub.?!
