I'm receiving a dl4 error code on the speedomter. When i put the key in the ignition the speedo needle jumps all the way to 140mph then goes back down and all lights come on (6th gear indicator, bright, nuetral and yellow engine light) then go off. It almost seems like I could just go and ride like normal afterward. Anyone know what this is or where to find it?
Im 99% it's related to my recent mod..
I took the dash apart to do the Street Bob ignition relocation mod. When i put the dash back together, the clicker button on the side used to set the odometer and toggle to clock etc is not clicking the same. Keep in mind I haven't ran any igintion wires yet, just mounted the switch.
I think something in those wires went screwy. Any answers? Thanks

I am not sure what the dl4 code is but you are probably right that it is related to the work you have done. I find that if a problem occurs after a mod has been done that mod has something to do with it. You should go over all of the work you have done so far and look for pinched or crushed wires. Verify all components are properly installed. Take your time with it and I am sure you will find the problem. Good luck and update this post with your findings.
I went on a couple hour ride, this doesn't effect anything besides initial start up. I wonder if I should just live with it or could this cause any serious damage in the future?
I'm not sure what dl4 error code is. When I did mine I turned on the ignition without something hooked up and I got an error code when I was done but can't remember the number. I just cleared the code and that was over 10,000 miles ago.
I would clear the code and see if it shows up again.
