Default hornless

Really cleans up "the otherside" of the motor. Gotta chop that thang off soon.

Need to find an alternate location, cause I do want to have the device available when it is needed.
Anybody gone this route??

Is yours still on the workbench Formula?? You are pretty damn good at problem solving.

Reminded me when I saw your pix in the batttender thread, and the little clip on the wire
to the front plug caught my eye. What'd you do there?? Looks real clean.

Nice setup on the batttender as well.

I've been thinking the same thing since I saw the "bare jugs" post a few weeks ago. I think the horn is about the least attractive part of the bike. It just seems out of place. Also, I plan toinstallfinned headbolt bridges next week and I'd like that area as open as possible.

The hole on the downtubes is for the upper crash bar mount, which I already have. I'll have to get creative and configfure a mount that looks clean and professional. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has some. Will post pics when it's completed.

I just went out and looked at mine closer I think it would just bolt
right up there is already a hole.
Only thing to do would be reroute the wires
maybe splice them if they wernt long enough.
Hey give it a "shot" Joe.
(where you goin with that gun in your hand??)

I think the stock horn hung on the downtubes would look like sh it.

On the other hand, may not.

Mud,Mine's still on the work bench, I did try and fit it behind the battery but it seemed a little too tight. Behind rear engine mount, it sticks out too far. So looks like the best place will be just below the voltage regulator using a strip of metal as a bracket andmounting tothe engine mount to frame bolts. Solder wires to the terminals, shrink sleeve it,and tie wrap the wires to the harness bundle that runs down the frame on the right side of the bike all the way up behind the battery. I already redressed the original hornharness to behind the battery. My ignition wire supports are homemade, the front cylinder wire is supported with Romex house wire that I formed using a Phillips screw driver shaft as a mandrel, installed it on the bracket then bent the two loops open put the ignition lead in and closed the loops without putting anypressure on the ignition lead. The rear lead support is a flat piece of plastic that I cut to size and used a soldering iron to punch two holes thru for thetie wraps.

I'm still really happy with how my horn project turned out.
