Mine were a straight plug and play. No grounds or extra wires. Took longer to find the harness under the seat and get the seat off than to install.

I have an '11 SB

I just bought used XIEDs and they didn't come with instructions and didn't find any on the Night Rider site. I googled as well and found some from an HD site. Is there any place to go to find "official" instructions?

I grounded the rear one to the stud on the trans that the battery ground is attached to. For the front I used the forward most bolt that attaches the bracket for the front header to the bottom of the engine case. Works fine for me.

Follow the wire of the front O2 sensor until you find where the sensor plug meets the wiring harness plug which should be down in front between the frame rails, then unplug it and put the xied inline between the two. Take the seat off and then follow the wire of the rear O2 sensor until you find where the sensor plug meets the wiring harness plug, then unplug it and put the xied inline between the two. It's that simple, the xieds are just a resistor that goes inline on the O2 sensor wiring to trick the fuel injection into responding to a "too lean" reading from the O2 sensors and causes the fuel injection to adjust so your air/fuel ratio runs richer that it can with the stock programming.

the 2012s require an extra ground as they are a 4 wire system like the touring bike
have used since 2010

O-Town,
That link took me to the directions I found. They seem detailed enough. I just thought there was a PDF or something that was available.
Thanks

That link has more info than the actual half-page instruction sheet that came with my XIEDs (no pics, no charts) ....
