I can relate to getting poor quality customer service from a seat company.
I currently have a lepera as well as a mustang and a danny gray seat for my bike. They are all top quality seats and I can recommend them all confidently.
When I was researching the danny gray last year I was put off by a lack of response to my emails and phone calls to Danny Gray.
I felt that if I was gonna drop almost 4 bills on a seat I should be entitled to a few answers from someone. I didn't get any replies. My dealer couldn't even get the seat from them because their catalog didn't list the particular seat I was interested in beyond the 06 model year, (my bike is an 07). I was able to finally get one from a seller on ebay for what I felt was a very good price. The guy offered the best customer service I have ever had regarding a seat.
Sorry to hear about this... I had a really good experience with LePera. Ashley is THE BOMB!!! It's a shame that her co-workers would risk the reputation of the company by being anything less than professional.. Send an email directly to Ashley telling her what happened, i'm sure she'll take care of you.
I had the total opposite response from lepera when I purchased my seat. I called and initially left a message, and was surprised by how quickly they responded.
I spoke to them a few times, but it was always ashley that I worked with.
She was incredibly helpful, and knowledgable, and always called back when she said she would. It was actually their customer service that played huge in me going with them.
That sucks for sure, but that being said sometimes people have a bad day, maybe someone dumped that call on her to call you back as she was about to leave for the day, still no excuse, but I'd give her a second chance, we can all say we have had one of those moments at one time or another.
I may be biased because I have a slight crush on Ashley. She's cute. I used to live in SoCal and when I owned my Sportster decided I'd track LePera down. Got their address and expected some kind of a showroom but could hardly find the place in a run down industrial complex. They basically have a little metal door with a small name on it. Once inside I met Ashley and ordered my Silhouette and loved it. She also gave me what became my favorite hat with their logo on it. A couple years later I stopped by to buy me another hat (hoping to see Ashley but didn't) and they gave me another free hat.
I live in the Denver area now and got my Villain 2up through Dennis Kirk who was running a special for $322.
Bottom line: Great seats, great service.... and then there's Ashley.....
I just got a seat from lepera,I had a little custom work done on the seat,by them without any hassle or extra cost.they gave me a ship date and they called after I received the seat to see if it was OK.They were great to work with.
I have bought several seats from Christine. She was always helpful and sweet. I have a Bare Bones for my Dyna and a Maverick for my Bagger. I think they do a great job!
