What did I do wrong - Clutch
I did everything as suggested but nothing changed. Maybe this was like this before I tore it down to install the big bore kit and never noticed. I fired up the bike and rode it. All shifting seemed okay. I still don't understand why it doesn't freeroll when in gear with the clutch lever pulled in. I'd again like to thank everyone for your replies. It's great to have somewhere to go when you need a little help.

Yes. Was easier to roll in gear when it was hot. Just probably never noticed it before. Was getting ready to fire it up for first time after winter rebuild and just looking to make sure everything was okay. Thanks again, on to newer problems now.
When you have the actuation cover off, you need to make certain that you pull all the slack out of the cable from down there, inside the cover. This points the ramps lever down towards the floor.
This puts the ramp where it needs to be when the cover is reinstalled with the 3 ***** in place.

You beat me to it...+1
You or someone pulled the clutch lever during the spring install. You "flipped" the 3 ball ramp on the RIGHT side of the bike, where the cable goes in.
You'll have to pull that clutch actuation cover off and put the ramp back down to 6'OClock and reinstall the cover.
Then you can adjust the clutch on the left side, then the cable at the adjuster.
Common mistake....

You should be able to ... the pressure from the clutch spring (on the opposite side of the bike) is what keeps the ramp in position ...
Not to bust any one's chops but, I didn't go to MMI to work on HD's, but I think the picture of the the clutch release cover is upside down. First clue, the dipsick, it usually comes in from the top.
