Umm. A swing arm is what your rear axle and tire are connected to, and that is also connected to the rest of the frame or transmission.

On the new Dyna's they are square. Your swing arm looks to be round. I guess you don't change your own oil either.

Hey editbrain, it's my first bike. I've had it 3 weeks and I have put about 100 miles on it. How about you give a guy a chance to learn, and yes, I will be changing my own oil ( if I can get that darn drain plug to loosen up with these here pliers. )

According to the FXDWG '98 parts book it's called "factory ape hanger" p/n 56079-93.
