I installed some new T-bars yesterday, drew diagrams and everything. 99% sure I followed them correctly.
Bike starts, all signals are on permanently lit up, and blink dimly when I use the signals. And I have no "Bright" headlight when I toggly that switch.
Is this all ONLY related to the signal wiring or could I have screwed up one of the Deutsch connectors? Hoping to fix this today, thanks guys.
Could it be the ground wire on the handlebar bushings? I had a lot of leftover pieces lol... it's on there but I took off the stock aluminum caps because the bushings i get had chrome end caps on them and were thick enough that I didn't need extra washers.
And with the diagram below, my connectors are not numbered...so does the connector work
1234
5678 on bottom
or
1234

Don't worry about the numbers, follow the color code..
Sounds like you have some wires either crossed or you have a short between the wires.
I've checked and rechecked and went over everything a million times. The right signals work fine, now the left doesn't turn on and I have no headlight, but when I hit the left turn signal the bright comes on.
Being that it's an issue with the signals, would it have to be something with the signal wire harness or could it be in the deutsch connector? And when you say a short, that means there's a an exposed wire somewhere inside the bars right...?
Take the controls loose from the bars and see if things work right or not. You may have wires pinched when you clamped them back on, if one switch operates something other than it is suppose to and you are absolutely certain everything is back in the connectors in the correct order, you have wires that are shorted to each other somewhere.
