It wouldn't be fair to say. I had decided to get some new controls because my original Harley rubber foot pegs were falling apart, were too close, and I had read some articles about Accutronix. I called Accutronix and a guy answered and he told me they were taking inventory and were offering 10% off. We talked for a while since he use to live where I live now. I asked him how long he worked at Accutronix and he told me he bought the company in 95 or so. I told him you all have a good reputation. I just got a discount by calling by chance during the holidays and during inventory and talking to the owner who wastaking phone orders.I'd call themanyway, rather than internet ordering, and negotiate a hand and foot ware package price.I was looking forreplacement carpet for my car and it was cheaperby phone than it was by internet, so I stopped buying by internet without calling first.
Hi - I have a 2007 FXDC Super Glide Custom and would like to install the forward controls. I am very familiar with tools and with working on cars, but am new to working on motorycycles. What tools do I need to have? Do you have any tech tips? I 'd be most concerned with disconnecting the old shift linkages and connecting the new ones...I'm not familiar with these types of fasteners. Also, what are the tricks for removing the rear brake lever and installing the new one?
I'd go with the Kuryacyn shifter spline cover also.
Thanks,
Richard
