I mounted Accutronix forward controls on my wide glide. I got three inch extensions since I have a 34 inch inseam. The extra room is very nice. I am located in the seat much more comfortably.
The Accutronix controls are probably made as well as anything can be made. The design, machining, chrome etc is the best I've ever seen. I think the Accutronix owner just wanted to make the best possible product, and he did. However, they aren't cheap. Whether or not you need sealed ball bearings in the shift and brake lever pivots is debatable, but that is part of going first class.
I also installed the matching grips. One piece of advice here - don'tdissasemble your throttle in thegrassor onthe dirt. There are two very small brassbushings that you probably will drop. Ilost both of them and even wondered if they ever existed. I spent at least an hour on my hands and knees in my garage looking for those match head sized bushings. When you see how it is designed you will understand why you don't want alot of slop in your throttle cables. It will just come apart on you.
If you are a middle aged or a little older guy and money is not super tight get the accutronix controls. Every time you walk by your bike, or every time you shift gears you will say "that'snice stuff". You don't needthings to be madethat good, but on the other hand you don't need a wide glide either.
Accutronix in my opinion is the best money can buy! I got the Gothic wide glide conversion kit and WOW it is so Sweet. Like you said The design, machining, chrome is the best I've ever seen! You get what you pay for!! I like your controls and was thinking about a set for my bike!

LOL - it's worse on the concrete - as soon as those brass barrels hit the floor they bounce straight sideways, and seem to be able to travel more than 20 ft......
Thanks for the added pics - nicest forwards I've ever seen.

Yes, I found one and was curious if I dropped it from the grip how far it would go so I would know my search radius. So I dropped it and it literally disappeared.I eventually found both though after alot of crawling round.
