Mine makes a 'wrik wrik wrik' sound when I'm backing up. It's the pads rubbing on the rotor. It only does it when I'm backing up. If I put a little water on the rotor the sound goes away. I have no unusual wear on the pads and rotor so I'm not worrying about it any longer (unless it's starts doing it when moving forward)

it almost sounds gritty its probably the wheel bearing but i would like to rule the belt out and was wondering if anyone has ever had a faint but noticable noise from the belt and if so is there any product i can try to clean or condition the belt thanks for the quick replies by the way

Hi Dawg. Is it a sutble sound, or does it loud? It may just be the sound of the belt bending around the sprockets, or the drive dogs on the belt going in and out of the grooves on the sprockets. I've also noticed that "wrik wrik" sound when I move my 03 FXDL without the engine running. you may also want to check the belt tension. It may be too tight.

Let me get this straight. Ignore this if I misread something.

The wheel bearing blew, and you didn't change it when you changed the tire??? You are running a new tire and have no bearing on the right side?

If so, you'll need to replace the right and left bearing, the axle, all the bolts for the brake and pulley, maybe the brake and pulley if they are warped, and maybe the adjusters and entire swingarm, depending on how badly the axle has eaten everything.
