After years of everyone looking to put floorboards on a Dyna, I don't think anyone wanted to go to pegs.
Anyway, whether you buy the parts individually or as a kit it should work fine. If you want to trade your floorboards for forwards I'm sure you'll find plenty of takers.
We already have forward controls, with a footboard. Not mid controls like the bigger touring line. I guess you mean a foot peg type setup.
Actually it's nice to be able to change positions from the forward end of the footboard, resting my heels on the footboard and my foot on the highway pegs, to farther back and flat on the footboards. It's the advantage of having full footboards like we do.
But to each his own.
Here's a better shot of what I posted previously.
Pretty easy to move my foot over for the brake, or the shifter, while my heel rests on the foot board. Or can move all the way back and use the full board.
