?? I really want to do this to mine but the sudden unexplained sale of both bikes with no reply to the question of how the bike handles after the rake and bigger front wheel, has got me wondering.
Thanks for your concern, but there are absolutely no problems with the setup. The highway and around town riding are actually better. The twisties require ever so slightly more push to turn in, as you'd expect, but in no way does this effect ride quality. Operating a stock Fat Bob already feels like you're one with the bike, not sitting on top of it, but then add the rake and a slightly lowered bike and you are one with the road. Does it have a different "feel" than a stock Fat Bob? Yes. Is it better? That's up to the rider, but I think so. Is the setup dangerous, or unstable? Absolutely not. It's a matter of preference.

Thanks. Sorry if my post made it sound like I was being a dick. Not the case at all. I fell in love with the black bike a while back ago. I think the larger front wheel and rake looks badass. I was just curious as two why two raked Fat Bobs were being sold right after they were completed. I have no concern about either one being unsafe. Obviously it will handle different than stock but theres a **** load of extremely raked out hard tail chopper riders out there that manage not to crash. Im not going to lie, the Fat Bob in stock form is the best handling HD Ive ever ridden. But its still a heavy *** bike. If I wanted to drag a knee I would have gotten a sport bike. I plan on going with a bigger wheel and rake regardless. But its nice to hear the handling of your bike wasnt horrible. Good luck with your sale.

No worries. You bring up some good concerns. I'm just happy to report the ride is excellent.

I have a couple sport bikes that I take to the track when I want to go fast and drag knee. They were built for that purpose. When I want to cruise town or ride in comfort I take out the Harley.

Here's my R1 at Thunderhill in northern California a couple years back... fun in the sun...

I raked my fat bob out with 5* triple trees and lowered the back end with progressive shocks last year. I can confirm that the ride is fine even at highway speeds. I was worried about the high speed wobble of death but have not experienced it (haven't tried over 80 mph). It does take a little more effort in turns but not much and you get used to it... just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
