Default Risers or Not?

I have a 2008 superglide with short risers and harley drag bars. On long trips arms can get sore as you kind of lean more on the low bars with arms stretched to the drag bars. I have long arms so not overly uncomfortable. I am wondering if 6" risers will give any advantage for long distance riding? Also, does anyone with them like the looks or handling better? I plan to use my existing drag bars just wondering the advantages or not of taller risers? THanks.

Me too! I was leaning forward too much to be comfortable on long trips. To correct my riding position...I had to go with a 9" riser with a bit of pullback. I chose a "fat" riser, so it looks better. Then added the 2" tank lift, to put the tank back in line. I think the longer risers on a Wide Glide..just make the rake "look" longer.

Thanks for the information so far. Thinking of going to a 6" riser from ebay. My current one looks about 1.5", just enough to keep the bars from hitting the tank.
