The 08 Street Glide was the first year that the rear wheel came stock with the "Isolator", it is a large drum on the belt side with rubber isolators in it. I don't know if it is removable or not. It isn't on a spoked wheel but it may have been on the 9 spoke touring wheel, I just cannot remember when I had mine off.
Biggest issue for you I suspect; The largest tire an 08 rear touring wheel will accept is a 140mm. May look a bit skinny on a Fat Bob.

Front wheel shouldn't be a issue.
Thanx bro,i almost bought a set of rims second hand and would have been sadly disappointed if I had. This bike is a project to make it my own and un needed expenses just take away from other areas I want to work on. Thanx again
An old school hard core harley rider told me if I went with a bigger rim on the front of my 09 fat bob it would affect the way the bike oiled, is there any truth to this or is he just blowing smoke?
Not quite sure what "oiled" means. Your Fat Bob has a 16 X 3.00 wheel on the front right now. The front wheel from touring bikes, until very recently on a few models, is also 16 X 3.00. Won't affect handling, just looks.
