Default switchback pipes

looking for a reasonable idea on why i cant seem to find the pipes i want to "fit" my switchback.

picked up a FLD on friday and went to order pipes at the dealer to throw in on the deal but i couldnt find anything that said it "fit" the switchback. iv graduated wyotech and know a thing or two about wrenching and in my eyes a dyna is a dyna; a dyna with a 103 and floor boards should be no differnt then any other dyna chassis with floorboard and a 103 correct?

iv got my mind set on vance and hines
dual black big shots staggered or black big radius 2-2.. why does it say they dont fit?

scared the bags would melt with shorty pipes?

I believe the mounting points are different, but I could be wrong. The reason I say that is because all of the aftermarket exhausts I have seen so far only fit the FLD. Hopefully there will be more options down the road. I have the V&H's slip-on, and it's just OK.

Bassani and D&D both have systems that are made for the FLD. Not sure on others.

so even that being the case it wouldnt be more then a few mounting brackets..

second half of your statement is another exact reason i didnt order pipes with the bike in the first place. should be more aftermarket stuff showing up on the sence soon i would imagine

I think this might be why they don't list the FLD for V&H Big Shots pic from Harley Tim's when he did his FDD last year.

I agree...why isn't there more out there for the Switchback? HD is already showing off their 2013 models, so how come other aftermarket exhaust companies don't have anything for the Switchback? I've been looking and so far, all I can come with is D&D, Bassani, Vance and Hines, and Samson. Cobra has nothin', Rush has nothin' too...so far I'm leaning towards Samson Legend Street Sweepers. Gotta get rid of the stock pipes with that friggin' cat converter!!! The heat that thing is causing is ridiculous...

Any suggestions about ECM tuner too? I've doing some reading on the Dynojet Power Vision and so far, sounds like it may be the way to go...

Actually I called Vance and Hines because I REALLY wanted a set of 2 into 2 big radius pipes and they won't clear the floorboard was the answer I got back.

Well this sucks. I ordered the footboard kit for my 2011 Superglide Custom and I already have Vance and Hines Straights Shots. I hope they fit.

Rush Racing exhaust fits an FLD. They space out the floorboards a bit, but it fits!

Default New Pipe for the Switchback

Vance and Hines true duals with Vance and Hines Fuel pack and SE Stage 1 breather.Runs and sounds great and very easy to install all of the above.Vance and Hines did a great job designing these pipes and hardware.
