Default My-T

After falling in lust with the T-Sport in 2002 while helping a girlfriend find a Sportster Sport I finally found a black one at a gray market dealer on Long Island...and it has been a very happy relationship ever since.

Don't have a lot of miles on it...just 32K, but all have been trouble free. It goes in once a year to a certified HD mechanic who I have do a full onceover each year.

The bike is basically stock. It does however have a Scremin' Eagle stage one carb kit and Vance&Hines Short Shot pipes. Metezler 880s also replaced the Dunlaps and that made HUGE different in handling, cornering and ride smoothness...

The stock headlight was criminal in the amount of light it put out and was replaced with a Headwinds Reflector and the highest intensity bulb that could be found. It was just ok so a set of Moto lights were added. I didn't like the mount that went on the forks so added a Limby crash bar to mount the lights on and eliminate the fold up highway pegs that I never used anyway.

This past May when it was service time I had the mechanic install the new HD LED headlight...it was $380 and the best money I ever spent....can no longer overdive the headlight.

Heading out for the North Country and Mt. Washington tomorrow so that is why the tour pack is on....

It is nice on top of the World...

Glad to see there a few T owners here....Bob

They have never been off the bike.... The bags gets cleaned when dirty or wet and then thoroughly sprayed down with silicone spray....

Whoever designed these bags must have gotten a bonus from HD....

Excellent write-up. I had an '85 FXRT and now a Wide Glide, and the T-Sport is the "just right" bike between those two. Ride safe.

Well we had a nice ride today but they closed the Mount Washington Auto road to motorcycles because of 60+ mph gusts...it is possible to get blown off the side of the mountain up there as the road is very narrow in some spots and no guardrails at all...

But we did about 250 miles in the 24 hours gone from home most of it on twisty back roads...

Karl here. I didn't know you had a T sport. I have a 2002 fxdx, pretty much stock, oil cooler, stage 1, and rush mufflers. Mine's pearl white. Your's is a nice looking bike. That is some nice riding up in that area. I may take a ride up around there this weekend. Ride safe.
