Default Deka Battery

Anyone using the Deka battery, if so how does it compare to stock and where did you buy it from?

Yea, I put an ETX20L in my '04 Dyna in January. So far, outstanding service. Never fails to spin my TC88A like a top. It's a Deka 310 CCA AGM battery I got from Advance Auto Parts re-branded as their MagnaPower series. No complaints at all so far. Oh, except for the fact that the battery case is gray and my black FXDP has no battery cover. I had to paint the outside of batt with bed liner paint. But I got the batt for about $65 OTD minus the core, as I recall, so no complaints at all.

Do you need spacers for the cable hook ups?

I did not, no.

Although the ETX20L came with what were, I guess, small round brass spacers. Not so much spacers as very thick washers. I didn't use em. They were in the way of my Battery Tender connectors.

DEKA makes the stock Harley battery. American made and as you probably know by now, about 60% of the Dealer price.

I'm not pushing them at all, but Advance Auto sells online & ships. And no ship charge if you're willing to wait. You loose the core charge, however (only $6).

The way I got such a good deal on mine was to order it online using a promo code I got from someone here on the forum, but specify I would pu it at my local Advance. That way, I got the core charge back plus I got a great $ on the batt.
