Default Any ideas?
My 92 FXRS is finally done. However now it'll run great for about 5 minutes then it dies and won't restart for awhile. Something is failing when it heats up. Any thoughts on what might be the issue?

Ignition module or coil, get a water mist bottle and mist the coil when it's running well, if it stumbles, replace coil, if not, replace module.. Or better yet, ditch the factory ignition entirely and install a aftermarket one..

+1 on the coil, my neighbour just had the same problem on his 86 tourglide, replaced the coil and all good now

Ignition module - the silicone breaks down and the bike will shut down once it heats up until you replace it. My Evo Road King and my friends Evo softail both had the same issue this year.

Have you noticed a cloudy brownish substance coming out around the timing/cam cover?

make sure your getting fuel , ive seen them use the gas out of carb then slowly refill carb

just spin motor with plug wire pulled and see if its sparking

Thank you ill try these suggestions and nothing coming out around timing cover that I've noticed. Any recommendation on aftermarket ignitions?

I had an old Volkswagen Type II that did that. After replacing all kinds of crap, a $15 used started fixed the problem. The positive battery cable-attach point just stopped conducting electricity when it got hot.

i like the dyna s ignition , cheap and last forever
