Default Noob part question ***Question Answered***

Hey folks, what is this chrome piece and what is it covering ( electrical stuff, not derby cover )? I'm unfamiliar with motorcycle engines, I'm trying to remove it ( and learn what it is ) so I can black it out if that's possible.

Random google image to help me point it out ( in the middle of the engine ):

Thanks.

No pic came up. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're talking about the chrome horn cover.

Put another image up to see if that works, but most likely you are guessing right ( chrome horn cover ). Thanks much.

I'll save $31 and use black plasti dip for now to see how it turns out since my motor is the wrinkle black. Maybe later I'll get a custom one, but for now I just wanna make it less obvious heh. Thanks again for the help.

Now to figure out how to remove it .. gotta get a service manual soon.

Just remove the bolt and the cover should come right off.

Got it, wasn't sure what was all hooked up to it so I wanted to be careful. Pretty simple after the main bolt is off, couple of other nuts holding the horn to the cover.
