Putting 14inch apes on a 09 FXD, anyone know what plus size cables i need to get, i was estimating, plus 8 from stock?

Agreed....really? FXD?? Mine is a 2010. All stock cables and wiring. How do you like those pipes? It appears to be in the way of the oil dipstick??

FXD as in Super Glide, since the StreetBob is the FXDB, installing 14in apes from the stock bars which are lower than the stock bars on the FXDB.

Back to the original question, anyone know the plus length cables to get to properly install 14 inch apes on a 2009 FXD Super Glide off the top of their heads, or the total length cable need to do so?

you should be able to get away with stock street bob cables. maybe someone can confirm that for you. but i think 14 is the max with stock SB cables.
