Bought some different wheels that I plan on putting on my 2007 Street Bob, as I wanted to go black and 21 on front. Bought a rear that was taken off of a 2010 Wide Glide and a front off of a 2013 Wide Glide. From what I understand I just have to replace the bearings with bearings for an 07. Am I correct? TIA
You will need to change the bearings from an id of 25mm to an id of 1". The rear may fall into place without having to change the spacers, mine did. I had to change the spacers in the front.
You can get replacement bearings from any one of our sponsors that deal with Drag Specialties. They are a lot cheaper than HD.
I was in a small community and needed new rear bearings. Indy only had 25 mm on hand and same for all auto parts stores in the town. Found replacement bearings at a farm supply store. Exact same specs, probably last longer than the OEM. Had them in for about 5k so far with no issues.
