I just got A 97 low rider after 20 years without A harley. I can't
put the freakin down Kickstand with my foot. I know I could come up with some kind of mod on my own but I thought I would ask here before I start designing A mod. Thanks.

 

They make little extensions you can bolt on the kickstand to help you get it down easier.

Took me awhile to get used to hooking my boot on it. Give it awhile you'll get used to it.

 

Use your heel, not your toe.

 

On my chopped bike, I used to put the stand down with my hand. I'm glad my FXS has the extension on the stand because it's so much easier.

Welding a simple extension is an easy solution if you weld. This is done by adding either a small plate or a U shaped curved section to the end of the stand. This will need to be bent upwards to clear both the ground and engine case.

Get the extension, its great... step your heel on it and pivot...

 

When it's raining I have a hard time with mine, heel or toe. I bought the big extension but it doesn't look like it'd fit quite right.
