I am pretty sure I have narrowed my slip on search down to Rush or Screaming Eagle's. Our town just passed a new lower level noise law and I foresee it being used alot this spring. So who has these for sale at a good price. I have an 07 Street Bob and am not against some nicely maintained used ones. I searched Ebay but rarely see any listed for FXDB.
if your worried about it being to loud, go with the SE. rush slip-ons are still pretty loud. and even though your finding SE that dont say they fit an FXDB, slip-ons are slip-ons. my stock 2012 cans fit perfectly on my cousins 03 lowrider. just use the stock bracket on the cans and you'll be fine.
I have the Rush, baloney cut, 1.75" baffles, they are pretty loud, especially when I get on the throttle. When I ride with my friend with V&H Straightshots (full system) mine definitely keep up with his as far as volume goes, but they have a deeper tone. So, if you're worried about volume, go for the SE's.
Anyway, I see SE and Rush slip ons going on Craigslist or around $75-99 pretty regularly.
I have se's on mine and with the baffles pulled they are pretty loud.I'm gonna unwrap em and straighten out the diverter so it'll stop reversion but be a mostly straight through pipe.
New to posting here so I can't PM yet. But if you would like to sell the V&H slip ons and the OP isn't interested shoot me an email at Jivarra1@gmail(dot)com.
Don't quote me on this but I believe most slipons going back to 91 will fit using stock mounts on dual staggered pipes on a Dyna. There are some much more informed about this than me. Maybe they will chime in.
Hi,
I am running Rush slip ons with the 1.75 " baffles, SE stage 1 and a Power Commander on my 07 Street Bob. Not sure about the difference between them and the new SE's though. Mine sound good and yes lots louder than stock. I would put them somewhere in the middle of the road for thier loudness. The nice thing with them is if you are easy on the throttle you can get away with out disturbing your neighbors.
