Led tail light ?
I just installed the kuryakyn led tail light on my 12 fxdc and i was curious if anyone has had any issues with water getting inside the light???...the seal seams to be tight but i guess im just being proactive
kuryakyn instructions say to put the foam sealed piece with a sticky back in the light, then after that it says to use silicone to fully seal the light set up...
it defiantly says that in the instructions somewhere

i have had 3 of them on my 06 Street Bob... water was never the problem. the lead wire of the printed circuit board keeps breaking on them. I see now they redesigned them and have all new part numbers so hopefilly the fixed the problem. I wrote to them awhile back and they said they never had an issue with that problem(this was before i found this forum) this was after the 2nd one broke . I got 2yrs tops out of them . I plan on sending all 3 broken lights back with all the letters i wrote and recipts for the lights ....maybe they can do something for me . when the last one broke i was out of state on a holiday weekend and had to scramble to find an open dealer that had a stock taillight just so i could ride otherwise i would have had NO light, cost me an extra 70 bucks for something i had at home... oh well . Good luck with yours!!! just curious what are the part numbers on yours??
I put the gasket on so hopefully wont be an issue...if the problem exists where the circuit board is then i will make sure i would send it back because thats just defective my part number is i think 5438...
ANY part #s starting with 5 are the newer impoved ones so hopefully they fixed the problem. the ones i had started with 4...i think 4828 was one of the #Si had 2 different models. good luck. if i ever write to them and send them ack i will let you know what they said
