I just installed the kuryakyn led tail light on my 12 fxdc and i was curious if anyone has had any issues with water getting inside the light???...the seal seams to be tight but i guess im just being proactive

if you are concerned you could always use a small amount of silicone

Default kuryakyn

kuryakyn instructions say to put the foam sealed piece with a sticky back in the light, then after that it says to use silicone to fully seal the light set up...

it defiantly says that in the instructions somewhere

i have had 3 of them on my 06 Street Bob... water was never the problem. the lead wire of the printed circuit board keeps breaking on them. I see now they redesigned them and have all new part numbers so hopefilly the fixed the problem. I wrote to them awhile back and they said they never had an issue with that problem(this was before i found this forum) this was after the 2nd one broke . I got 2yrs tops out of them . I plan on sending all 3 broken lights back with all the letters i wrote and recipts for the lights ....maybe they can do something for me . when the last one broke i was out of state on a holiday weekend and had to scramble to find an open dealer that had a stock taillight just so i could ride otherwise i would have had NO light, cost me an extra 70 bucks for something i had at home... oh well . Good luck with yours!!! just curious what are the part numbers on yours??

I had the same issue had but luckily was closer to home and slapped the original light back on. Got a newer version with different set up so hopefully it won't be an issue again.
Ape- Not sure who you ordered through but JP gave me credit when I sent broken one in.
Never a water issue though
