2012 Wide Glide Build
Hi All. I am looking for opinions and advice. I have the 103" with compression release. I put on the V&H and SE heavy breather before I started to get the bug, so I know there are better choices out there. Here is what is going in. What numbers should I expect? What do you think? I should have it back in 2 weeks!
30T front pulley
S&S 585 CAMS and pushrods
S&S Flat top pistons
S&S CNC ported Heads
Power Vision tuner
V&H Big Radius 2-2
SE Heavy Breather

We are using the SS575 cams. Wanted better low end and not so much top end.
106 kit
ported and polished heads
10.5 compression
Big radius 2 into 2 pipes
Numbers not real sure, can not remember and have no idea where the sheet is. I am thinking it was around 117hp with 124 tq.
It was tuned using the factory ecm.
All I will say is it pulls really strong up to 120 mph in fifth with a passenger.
Tq, hits around 2,500 rpm
60 to 80 roll on in 5th gear is under 3 seconds

Thats about what I would expect for your build. The pipes are the biggest thing hurting you. A good 2 into 1 pipe will probably get you closer to the 100 hp mark and improve your torque too. One thing I'll say is don't chase dyno numbers. Alot of guys claim this and that and even show dyno sheets but some builders will make the dynos show good numbers to sell there products such as there heads BB kits and the like. I have run my SE stage 4 kit at dyno shootouts and showed better numbers than some of the bigger name BB kits. If its not on the same dyno with the same data factored in it don't mean squat. So as long as the bike runs good and pulls hard for you where you want it too just think as the dyno sheet as icing on the cake. It takes quite a bit of work and the right parts to make a real 120 hp nevermind much more than 110 hp. Seen guys go to a local tuner with 120r engines saying the bike isn't smooth but last dyno was 130 hp. Leave my local tuner showing 117 hp and love the smoothness and know the bike is making more and better hp than when it supposedly made 130. So like I said don't get to caught up in the numbers game. Enjoy your ride Ride safe but Ride like HELL
