Last night I rode to town to eat and on the way home it started gettin hard to ride kinda wobbly. pulled over noticed back tire was goin flat. made it to the house. this morning found a piece of a nail in my tire. pulled it out and plugged it. ( I KNOW ITS NOT RECOMMENDED) but didnt want it sitting on flat till i could get a new tire. well aired it up and my valve stem is leaking air where it meets the rim. Its always something. just had to vent. Ive already put 2 tires on this front and back in less than a year.
That sucks for sure. The other day I was cruising down the interstate when a car swerved to avoid a 2x4. I wasn't so lucky, didn't have time to avoid and launched over it. Thought for sure, with my luck, that 2x4 that possessed a nail. Guess my luck has improved cause not only was I able to avoid a nasty wreck, but no nail and tires are all holding air! Pretty hairy at about 70mph! Note to self...increase following distance!
yeah around here you never know whats in the roads or who is gonna try to run you over. glad things turned out ok for you rock103
Hey Combat Doc. I was almost up your way today. From Savannah I road 21 to 119 in Sringfield Ga, up to Hwy 3 over to 125 and down to Augusta. I was real close to turning north to Columbia, but my time was running short. Instead, I came south on 25 out of Augusta to Statesboro and Hwy 80 home.
300+ miles in 6.5 hours including lunch. Not bad for a day's play.
BTW. Hwy 25 south from Augusta is windy and boring. I won't ride that road again. The SC and GA two-laners are much more relaxing.
Oh yeah. This thread didn't screw my Karma. No flat tires!!
