Default Forward Control Inner Shifter Bushing help

I removed the forward controls off of my '08 Street Bob to have them powdercoated. When I got them back and attempted to put them back on, I discovered that they had removed the bushings on both the inner shifter and on the rear break control prior to powercoating. Somehow in the process of dropping them off and getting them back home the bushings were lost.

Went to my local dealership to purchase new ones. Had no problem finding the right one for the rear break (#42443-80A) but they couldn't find any kind of solution for the shifter. I've checked around at local hardware stores to find either bushings or spacers that fit but keep coming up empty handed.

Does anyone know of a solution as to where I can find bushings to fit the inner shifter? I can't believe this stupid, tiny piece is holding me up from riding.

Easy enough to get one made...have you asked if the powder coater has seen them?

My 03 sportster had the same problem the shifter had a lot of play in it. Measured the id of the shifter and the od of the shaft, went to ace hardware and purchased a brass sleve. Machined it down to spec. Pressed it in with a press work flawlessy. The bushing was $2.50 a machine shop can make you one for a decent price.

Problem solved. I gave my dealership another shot and they were able to find the correct bushings for my controls. The part number is 33708-94.
