Been looking for a inexpensive lift/stand. After some research the Craftsman Professional 1500 lb. Motorcycle Jack looks like pretty good deal. Anybody out there using it with late model Dyna?
I got the HF one, even with the 3 years replacement warranty for 19.99 it was cheaper, works well. The reason I didn't buy Sears is the ton of bad reviews about the bottle jack blowing seals and them not standing behind the product
Mine broke with my bike in the air. It was one of the parts needed to jack it up. Not good. When I finally got it off, I rolled the dang thing out to the curb for the garbage truck to pick up. I now use a J&S jack. Excellent.
He is referring to the yellow jack, not the red one.
Lot of folks has had problems with the red jack.
Mine (red jack) went out while the bike was on it. Used a bottle jack to get it down. Parked it for a few months and had to use it for my mower, been working good ever since.
go figure.
Jack has a lock out on it but you have to engage it for it to workUse that and it can't come all the way down even if it wanted to. Had mine for 6 years without an issue. Flat jacks are great also but u can't roll the bike around on them.
I've used my Sears Yellow for seven years with no issues. It's lifted my Wide Glide, my Super Glide, my Road Glide, and the front end of my Silverado 1500 when I changed my brakes.
Ive had my yellow sears jack for two years. No problems. Just latch the safety stops and take the pressure off the bottle jack. Leave it up all winter with my dyna on it.

I know the difference between red and yellow. It was a Sears yellow jack the broke on me.
