Well after a few months of constant searching/researching I finally bought my first Harley! It's a 2009 fxd with 8000 miles and mostly stock, it had a small detachable windshield and what I believe is a after market solo seat. I paid 8k for it. I was also wondering what are some of the first mods you did, and any advise you might have! Thanks
well on this bike i did a 103'' , tuner and other goodies. air cleaner, pipe and some HD quick detach bags before it had 100kms on it. suspension was next.
post up some pic's of your new toy when you get a chance!!
when I bought my new fatbob, after 1000 miles did stage 1 setup and changed my exhaust. added a pcv programmer and did a lot of listening on youtube at different dynas with a lot of exhaust setups install a bassani 2 into 1 setup rode for a while and did not like the sound changed to a v&h bigshot exhaust it sounded better to me. this is what a lot do to there bikes and if money is no object the sky is the limit.

Thanks guys! It definitely needs to be louder!! For safety reasons of course! I will post a few pics as soon as I get to computer. Thanks for the advise and ill keep taking it if you got it!
Congrats! Stage 1 for me. As many have said it goes in order of priority like this:
1. Performance
2. Comfort
3. Appearance
I tend to go the direction the "deals" take me... I have compiled a list of mods I plan to do and keep an eye out for deals, trades and sales. Welcome, good luck and enjoy!
