Hey, has anyone seen an older <relatively speaking>denim black model running around? I was curious about the color changes people are experiencing out there.
That's probably 3,4,5+ years out. My bike is 15-16 months old and looks the same. At least, if it HAS faded, it has been uniform. I store it in my garage but it sees a decent amount of Florida sunshine. It's been out in the noon heat a lot. I'm sure it will eventually fade a bit on the areas exposed to the most sunlight.
Did you just change your sig pic? Your bike looks awesome. Where did you get theblack pipes? Can I give you my Bob for a week and you send it back to me looking like that.

Isn't the idea behind the denim paint scheme to show wear and developa 'patina' over time?...
Mine is only showing wear whereI dropped my bars on the tank. Now thats patina.

I hear ya, they don't have to be flat to show weathering.... patina; luvs that word! Does the denim paint show swirl marks? I don't know anyone with denim paint on their bike...

I honestly don't believe that is the idea. I just think flat paintdoesn't hold up against sunlight over time so they use that to put a positive spin on it because it WILL happen. I think it looks awesome when it is uniform, but when mine starts to 'fade like an old pair of blue jeans" it'll be getting a new paint job. Maybe denim again or maybe something different.
