Is that what your boyfriend told you?

I love my King...but will admit if I ain't going too far or out all day, I will seldom walk past the Wide Glide. Dynas are great around the rural area I live in.

Default wow...lots of riders dumping their dressers!

Was just at my local dealer an lo and behold I saw no less than 10 used dressers all within 2-3 yrs old and most with less than 5k on the ODO.....wonder what gives? Not one used FLD in the bunch...there were no new ones either though so maybe they havent sold as well, who knows. Alls I knows is that my FLD is exactly what I need right now, a Dyna that I primarily use to commute to work and do my weekend warrior rides...cant stray too far as weekends are reserved for Little League games and Girls softball games. NOW, when i retire and can take some extended trips a Glide of some sort will most definitley be in my sights, unless of course my old *** cant hold it up at a stop light....then trike it will be. Buy what you want, ride what you want and if 6 months later your not happy and can afford it....trade that sumbitch in for a new one....who cares what people think. Now, I'm off to go put some new badass skulls on my Switchy...ciao

It is what you do with the platform that matters..... You dont have to keep the stock look, I get many compliments on the bike when I am out. Guess each to there own though..

I have a Dyna Super Glide and a Road King. But, if I could only have one it'd be the Road King. Yeah it weighs more but at the end of a long day riding there's a big difference between the Touring platform and the Dyna. Add to that, the bags are bigger and putting a passenger on board doesn't really change how the bike feels.

Default Love my FLD!!!!

Ok, my turn...I love my FLD, I started rising 2 years ago with an 06 super glide that I loved, I rode it 4k miles in 3 weeks and went all over Western washington, and Oregon, but the only thing about the bike I didnt like is the fact that it felt "lite" every groove in the road my skinny little tires would follow and I hated that about it, and I felt like I needed a bigger bike..not too much bigger, but something that was a bit more comfortable on the road trips. I went to the Harley dealer last year and sat on a 2013 Switchback..OMG I loved it..I liked the saddlebags...not too big..not too small( for what I do on the bike) I loved the wider tires, and the "muscle car" look Cragar style mags, and the floorboards. I like the ability to make it a convertible in seconds, and the Vance and Hines muffler added to it make it a nice throaty exhaust..not too loud, but loud enough, and it took out that damn vibration completely, I added a highway bar and front "board" style pegs, I made a battery cover "bag modification" for the stuff i need close by but dont want to bury in a pack somewhere(keys...glasses...wallet...GF's lip gloss etc). I then added a mustang seat with a backrest for long trips, and a quick detach sissybar/back rest. then had it pinstriped...I love this bike..everything about it is exactly what I wanted..I sat on a road king that had 6k on it and was 2 years old, and they wanted quite a bit more for it than the cost of my brand new switchback so it was an easy choice. I now have 5k on the bike after almost exactly one year so I do ride alot when the weather is nicer. My girlfriend pack up the cases toss a riggpack on the sissy bar..gear up and don't look back, to make the adventure better I bought a Scala g9 headset set up so we can talk about life and all the awesomeness of smelling nature while we ride...and we make fun of a few cagers now and then...haha...I guess it boils down to the person riding the bike..if It's what you want, and you like it that is all that matters.....as far as people saying that they think its a chicks bike....pfft...that just shows you them ladies got style and class..as long as it says harley on the tank thats all that matters...
