just the big sucker A/C, I think I got the whole kit new on e-bay for 100 bucks.

I was never a 2-1 guy but knew it was best for performance. When I saw the new propipe I actually like the look. The sound and performance is awesome. At idle it is actually quiter then the slip ons but when you get on it...it roars. When you let off the exhaust it sounds like a jake brake on a truck. The fit and finish is also spot on.

Most of the employees at my local dealership love the bassani pipe, great pipe. I just like the look of the propipe.

Just open up that wallet and let the blood pour out and do it...it will be done and you will be smiling.

What cam is he recomending? My tuner likes the S&S easy start cams..I have a friend here that just had him install and dyno and the numbers were unreal

Default RE:Cams

Really not sure what cams he is recommending but he said the ones he uses offers the best all around performance. My tuner actually prefers I use the Thunder Header but does not have anything bad to say about the others. He also wants me to put a black pipe on my bike because he is sick of polishing chrome. Did you see the pic of my bike in my album. Do not see how black will look good.

I don't think black would look good on your bike. I also think chrome is much easier to keep clean then a black pipe...everything seems to stick to it.

Some people here have had issues with the brackets on TH. They are also really loud.
I like loud but I also like to be in stealth mode at times too. Propipe can do both.
Any of the major brand 2-1 will do a good job for you...pick the one you like the look of the best.

Make your own decisions about the mods on your bike. I really don't think your tuner is going to be polishing anything on your bike so WTF?

Default I agree with you both

From an exhaust note point of view the Pro Pipe is in a league of its own. Heard them in Florida this Spring and just stood there until the guy accelerated away so I sould hear them under a load. Really deep, throaty and just loud enough. I will probably just ride the bike stock and when I am ready to part with another $2800 just do the whole deal.
BTW what will doing the cams, pipe, a/c and dyno do to the new bike warranty? Definitely a consideration.

I was told by my dealership and service dept that as long as you dont screw with the compression ratios and stuff like that. Then its ok. They can only deny a warranty claim if they can prove your parts caused the failure. Please not Warranty cannot be canceled they can only deny a warranty claim.

You will still have your warranty unless they can prove the mod you did caused the repair. I would talk to the dealership and feel them out. My dealer doesn't care what I do to the bike...they will fix it regardless.

I know the dealers are really strict in canada, glad I don't live there

Default Going Drinking

Thanks Guys for your input! I have owned a Harley since 2005 and I never even looked at this site until I was in the market for a new bike. What a great assett.
Tonight is Thursday which is Boy's Night Out! Been married for 32 years and have taken a night (or two) every week with the guys since I got home from the honeymoon. Difference is we have a designated driver now (or pay one of our kids to come get us).
Hope you enjoy your night, whatever you do!
Tony

Antonio, or Seņor *****, a couple of things.

The stage 2 from stage 1 mod does create the need for a re-tune. A second Dyno would be a Redundant charge. But the other work is just pipe and intake removal. It's not a lot of labor. You could stage 1, live with just a map and save the dyno money for later.

I happen to agree about the Pro Pipe I love mine, but the D&D and Bassani pipes are also very good. I somewhat disagree with Rooti's assessment of the black. It's totally true for engine cases and other rough surfaces, but my black Pro-Pipe can be cleaned in seconds with a damp cloth followed by furniture polish.

The TH, in my opinion, is sub-par quality. They sound good, but the finish is not durable.
