Default Custom Dynamics - Dynmaic Clusters

Hi,

I have the 'international' 2010 wide glide which has same rear light setup as street bob with the Sparto led on fender and the turnsignals

The dynamic clusters from CD look awesome and would like to put them on

Is it difficult job as looks as though its not plug and play but you have to connect to wires with posi connectors?

Any feedback be great
Thanks
Mirrmu

Hi,

Went ahead and bought some dynamic clusters and looking for some help with the wires

Dennis from CD has told me I need to tap into a 12V orange or blue on bike (for running light) and then into the red/yellow trace wire ( for brake function)

Looking at figure B16 in manual donkey dick street bob set up, I have a R/Y, a O/W and a BK going to centre tail light

And this have to connect into wires before brake light unit I guess?

Thanks

Where are you putting these clusters? In the turn sig housings? Or are you replacing the donkey dick? Are these clusters a three wire setup? If replacing the donkey dick, black-ground, O/W-run, R/Y-stop. If replacing the turn sigs, black-ground, blue-run, purple or brown-stop/turn. If the clusters are two wire you need to figure out how to wire them into the three wire system.

Mirrmu,
Before you get too far, there is something you should check.

There was a post a couple weeks ago from someone who had an international model FXDB. I think he was in the UK.

His bullet shaped turn signal assembly was a strange one-piece unit and not the typical American 1157 style assembly.

In short, the one-piece assembly couldn't be disassembled. The Custom Dynamics style clusters wouldn't have worked for that application.

So, before it's too late to cancel, check to see if your turn signal assembly can be disassembled to provide access to the bulb and reflector.

Hi,

Okay will check that it all comes apart, it's a 2010 wide glide HDI which has same setup as a street bob in US but with amber lense turn signals, turn signal globes are single filament

The dynamic cluster goes in the turn signal housing and I keeping the centre tail light

The dynamic cluster has plug and play for the turn signal halo and then 2 wires, I got feeling I have to tap it into wires which goto the donkey dick after where everything plugs in?

Thanks

Your bike is a European model, are you in Europe? Are you required to run an amber light as a turn sig? Is this cluster a dual color cluster with the amber ring and red center or is it all red? I can help, but I am not sure exactly what you are running.

Hi,

When I get them I will take photo of what wires actually come on unit

My bike now has the donkey dick which is a running light then brake when activated,

Getting this now, tap nto the O/W for running will put red on in turn signal for running,

Then tap into R/Y for brake function which intensifies red

Yeah we have amber turn signals, the dynamic cluster has amber ring on outside then red on inside which works as running light then intensifies when brake applied

Keeping centre light

Thanks
Mirrmu
