I have a switchback, no excessive vibes, I'd say quite smooth once moving. One thing that made an annoying tinging noise was the little wire stays on the wind shield, bend them a little till they stop. Check the tank bolt, some have found it to have come loose. Many owners have had excessive vibes and have used the clevis pin fix that costs $5. Motor mount clearance is an issue across the brand from what I have seen on the forum. It is sad how many owners are lied to by dealers telling them that tooth jarring vibes are normal on a dyna or a switchback. I guess they assume saving dimes now will not cost the brand quarters in the long run, they are hurting the brand.
ok Switchback, I've looked up clevis pin as I wasn't totally sure, kind of cotter pin deal.. not that the bike vibrates to teeth chatter and I believe the vibration on mine is norm as it's only at idle or low gear... curious since I went out and examined the situation... where does this pin go? thanks
I didn't have to use it, but it used used along with some washers and a spacer at the exhaust mount at the muffler/ headpipe connection where the pipe mounts to the bracket off of the transmission.

this is a switchback only fix.. it has to do with the bracket and long *** muffler on the 2-1 system... we found that THIS is where the bulk of our vibration comes from..
of the 30% of the switchbacks that don't have the vibration we found that a good portion of them bought an aftermarket exhaust before the bike even left the dealership so they never experienced the vibration but there are a good portion of that 30% of owners that like switchback12 didn't change a thing and state that they have no vibration so there is to be something in assembly
