Bike is fuel injected, Runs great when its cold but as soon i put a half an hour of riding time on it bike starts to surge and cough, As long as I throttle up bike will still pull. Bike idles with no problem and I have not pull any codes off of it. I have replace the Coil, Spark Plugs, Wires, 02 Sensors,Relays and Battery. I have a Vance and Hines Big Radius Exhaust Pipes ,Big Sucker Air Cleaner and Fuel Pack even with the Fuel Pak disconnected Bike runs the same way anybody have some Ideas, Running out of $.
Most surging is due to a lean condition. The fact that it runs the same without the Fuelpak is a clue it's not in the tuning. Since you've changed the exhaust and intake I would make sure there are no exhaust or intake leaks. You can throw all the parts you want at a problem but until you eliminate the possibility of any mechanical issues you're just keeping your parts dept. happy.
Took the time and check for intake and exhaust leaks, no leaks, Took the crank position sensor out and cleaned it. Ran bike and half hour latter surging came back, Looks like when it hits a certain temp problem comes out, any idea what it is, no codes thrown.
Interesting! It felt like my bike was surging today. I was thinking it was my imagination? It happens when I try and maintain a steady speed. Not really bad. but doesn't feel smooth.
I'll be really interested to see what you come up with?
So far no mods other then removed the packing from the stock mufflers.
I have the PowerVision sitting in the garage. Waiting on the exhaust to arrive.
