Power Commandor V question
I was wondering if you guys know if the Power Commandor 5 works on a Windows 7 platform?
Also will a commandor off of a 09 superglide fit on my 07 superglide?
I figure it would because the pcm should be the same but wanted to run it by you guys first.
Also anyone know the major differences between the 3 and the 5 model?
I guess the 5 may be for more intense mods like motor work and such?

Yes the disc that comes with it will work with windows 7
My lap top has windows 7 and it works just fine with it.
the best I can answer this is:
The pcv will do a lot more than the pc111 will.
like tuning each cylinder interdependently for example.

not sure but try it then download onto the bike the right program, I don't how too do a lot off things on a computer , but to transfer from my lap top too the bike was **** easy, and it work brilant.

My Power Commander V box identifies "Dyna models-06-11", and the software was installed on my laptop with Windows 7 operating system.
If you use Fuel Moto..a site sponsor, to puchase the PC-V, it comes pre-mapped to your specific needs and you don't even need to use the software.
I'm very pleased with the results of the PC-V, by the way!

Hey make sure this pc-v is a retrofit model. the pc-v came out in 2009 after the wiring harness changed, it is specifically the ecm plug that changed to a smaller, squarer version. The pc-v I bought from fuel moto was called a pc-v retrofit. I'm sure your '07 has the old style wire on it.
As for windows I'm sure win7 will run pc-v software. At worse you could run the program in compatibility mode.

Are you sure the wiring harness changed from earley 06 to 08 models from 09 models??
All i can find online is that fuel moto has different maps for the earlier models, not a completely different harness

Just for people searching this thread for info regarding the PCV application for pre 09 bikes...heres an email from don at fuelmotousa...
Hello Harry my name is Don. Well 15-005 is the correct PC V for your bike. So the ECM and plug is the same. Sometimes when you have a retro fit kit we change the instructions and the sticker on the box. But it is the same unit.
