A/C recommendations?
I was reading the K&N thread and some complaints of fine dust passing the filter. I see this as a problem with any high flo filter.
Does anyone know of a better alternative?
The Cobra Powerflo I'm planning to buy uses a K&N.
Is there a high flo filter just to replacethe stock filter? (Using the same housing)
Which filter would you guys recommend?

Just installed (last week) the Fuel Moto Pro Billet Stage 1 Air Cleaner and I am pleased with the quality, fit & finish, and performance improvement.
However, the filter did not come with a supply of spray oil for the filter, only instruction to apply oil in the pleats and let set for 20 minutes. I fortunately had some K&N oil spray left from previous filters and used it...otherwise I'm happy with the product!

Just don't over clean your K&N. They will pass a little fine dust until they get a coating of dust stuck to them. Once they get a little dirty the fine dust stops coming through. If you clean them all the time they are always passing the fines.
I replaced the stock back plate and breathers with the Stage 1 kit (Fuel Moto Air Billet kit), this includes a permanent (K&N like) filter and still allows you to utilize the stock cover!
The back plate is switched out for the "open air design".
You are correct though, this picture is prior to the change... and you can see the snorkel back plate (black) to the stock unit still in place

Oh, and FYI, if you change both the pipes and the intake for more free flowing parts.... you will probably need to also install some sort of EFI remapping device, i.e., Power Commander V., EFI tuner, or the likes.
Lots of choices out there so you will need to do a little research for what suits your needs best. The experts I spoke to (and also read up on in this forum) sugest that if you are doing just one side of the air in/out then no remapping needed, doing both will cause you to be to lean without it and that is not good.
