I agree the brakes on the FLD are good. Well, adequate at least.

As far as the test goes, the only thing it shows is the test pilots inconsistency. There is no way for an FLD which weighs a whopping 728 lbs could out brake a CBR1000RR which weight a mere 439 lbs. Further, the CBR has twin 4-pot brakes up front, gripping huge floating discs. And it is running far superior rubber, and has much better suspension to boot.

Brake real hard on the CBR and it feels like your face is being pulled off. Being tossed over the bars is a very real danger. No such danger exists on the Harley simply because it doesn't generate anywhere near the braking force.

Gotta zip. I'm brokering a deal on the Brooklyn Bridge. Interested?

Agree on the CBR1000R, but that's not the bike referenced in the test. They tested a CB1000R. The naked bike, not the sport bike. Even so, I would have thought for sure that the CB would have outbraked the FLD. Definitely thought the Triumph Street Triple R would have easily trounced the FLD. Very surprising results.

I have to get used to being rear brake heavy on the HD, vs. front brake heavy from my previous bike.

Being dyslexic can be a real drag. LOL.

Okay, 485 lbs. It's still way lighter than the FLD and it still has far better brakes, suspension and tyres.
