Default Windvest ordered!

Hey all,

After doing a lot of reading and much debating, I decided to go ahead and order a 14" clear windvest. Seems like the general consensus with this thing is that there are much less buffeting then the HD windshields. I sure hope you guys are right!

Any other windvest owners want to chime in with their positive experience? I could use the encouragement. LOL.

Thanks,
Adrian

I have that exact windvest on my 2011 wide glide. It does work and doesn't look bad IMO. You still get wind but at higher speeds you don't feel like your going to get blown off the bike.

I have been looking at these as well for my Street Bob, pictures would be great once you get it installed.

I like mine. Not sure but I think it's bigger than 14". I bought a smaller one and took it back the next day and got the largest one. It helped. The quick detach actually worked better but looked like crap. Wind comes up under.

My experience with a 2002 and 2000 Wideglide is if you wear a helmet you will get some buffeting regardless of which shield you use. I tried some of the memphis shades lowers and they helped quite a bit.

Best shield I ever used was on a Dyna Convertible. It wrapped under the front signals and combined with the mid foot pegs there was zero wind/buffeting.

Sent mine back to get the taller version (18" I think), works much better now.
