The battery leads were fine, however...both leads that go to the trickle charger plug were attached on the positive side. I didn't know it would do it, but it seems that shuts down the entire electrical system.
The lesson for myself is "never assume you did the simple things correctly". Always go back to the beginning and work from there.

I hear you, don't get me wrong, I was laughing with you over the sometimes simple causes and cures that cause the biggest head scratchers. Swapped bars on my '08 Ultra, damn cruise wouldn't work afterwards. I had taken pictures myself of all the wire connections and still got two of them swapped. That pissed me off to no end, glad you solved yours.
