Just picked up a "gunfighter Seat" from Corbin . I have yet to do any distance on that seat but after installing it and sitting down it feels as hard as a rock. Will it soften up after awhile? And how comfortable is this type of seat on long distances?

I do not have a Corbin seat, but from what I've read on this forum is that it takes about 1,000 miles to break into your bottom.

 

Yes it will get better and seem much more comfortable.
They do seem too hard at first.

Put about 1200 miles on my Corbin and it is better!

 

I don't use anything but Corbin seats, and have found them to be very comfortable for the long haul. While they initially seem hard, the first long ride will convience you that they are really comfortable.
