Had some time to change my fluids this morning. I went with Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w-50 for the engine. Mobil 1 gear oil 75w-90 for the transmission, and Mobil 1 10w-40 Racing 4T for the primary. I went for a 40 mile ride immediately after. OH MY GOD! MY BIKE NOW RIDES, exactly the same as it did before......
If any of y'all have been considering the Harbor Freight wheel chock, seen in this picture, I can say I like it. I'll never get a lift or a jack to hold my bike straight up. Took a coupon out of my AIM mag and paid $42 for it. Not a bad deal. It's made pretty well with some nice thick steel.
Yeah that wheel chock is nice for changing fluids, but you may change your mind when it comes time change your tires or other maintenance requiring the bike off the ground.
Actually you can use it for the rear tire to.
Use tie downs on the bike and use any jack that will work. Bottle jack etc...I prefer a scissor jack or bike jack I use a bottle jack to do the front tire most of the time.
I have several bike jacks and stands.
Fluids change I use the jiffy stand.
Why waste time using things when they are not needed.
