I doubt it is a tune related problem.
1. Check battery cables, all chassis ground.
2. Check spark plugs.
3. Check fuel pump and filter.
Go from there.

Can you describe it a little more? Does it do fine cruising but dies when you gas it, over half throttle only, quarter throttle?

Seems I could be cruising along at normal conditions and the bike just dies. Done checks all 3 gnds reg and stator check. replaced fuel pump assembly. I thought at first it was when hitting bumps, but the bike started doing it more frequently. battery died last year after sitting up but we recharged it and it seems to hold a charge.

Have you ever noticed any patterns with it dying out relative to how much fuel you have. Could be pinhole in you fuel line in the tank, that'll make it sputter and die.

A tiny pinhole is all it will need, you'd need to check the systems pressure to be able to tell. That's why I was asking if there was any patterns wth when you get gas. A lot of times the first 1/4-1/2 tank of gas the bike will run fine because the line is submerged. When the fuel level drops below the line you then lose all you fuel pressure. If this is the first tank of gas it has done this on maybe just bad gas though?

I have been experiencing this prob all last year. At first when the shuts off the fuel pump would not cycle. Replaced the pump assembly and still the same. Sometimes it not cut in when the ignition was turned on. could be ignition, need to check it out this week before I head back to for another 14 day turnaround

if you haven't yet try replacing the fuel pump relay. its a cheap enough part, ive seen relays give weird problems. sometimes they wont even test bad.
